Authenticity
Are you original or an imitation?  Can you even tell the difference?  This project could be about the exaggeration and hyperrealism often found in social media, consumerism, and the beauty industry.  It could be about illusions and conformity.  But more than any of that, this project is about authentically realizing and creating your identity.  There is a constant play between the light of one’s originality and the darkness of imitation.  Conformity is tempting, but with conformity comes a masking of human complexity.  This project examines the discovery of all the pieces that make up one’s genuine self, and the realization of the power of authenticity.  Raw authenticity requires reaching for reality, measuring transparency, and finding identity.
